Back at Home Base

Salutations fellow travelers, like-minded parents, rapscallions, hangers-on, and Mr. & Mrs. John Q. Public,

Hats off to the Kazapalooza organizers for an outstanding weekend. We partook of delightful events, gazed on the beautiful-est of Kaz faces, and FINALLY got to connect with a few of our blog friends in MeatSpace. Fantastic! (Then we made some personal stops in the week following, giving Thumblini the chance to meet not one, but TWO great-grandmas, assorted loving cousins, general admirers, our one-and-only LMI Coordinator/Aila's Fairy Godmother (and mother of the Mitch Most Handsome): ANDREA...and even the guy dressed as a toy soldier at FAO Schwartz.)

What fun to connect with other Kaz families and Andrea/Mitch! I spoke with Andrea yesterday and she mentioned getting to see you. She very much enjoyed that as well.

What a lucky girl to have two great grandmothers! We didn't even use LMI, but I have heard SO much about Andrea in blogland, so it is neat to get to see a picture. Very cool you got to connect with her.
Aila is adorable as always!

Aila is so beautiful! I'm glad she got to meet other Kaz kids, relatives, and the LMI coordinator who helped unite her with such wonderful parents. We hope to make Kazapalooza next year and to see you again!

Aila is just precious! The picture of her and great grandma is priceless. Nana's hand on that child and the looks on their faces. It speaks volumes. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, what an amazing time! That is awesome that you were able to meet Andrea too, had you met her in person before?

Aila is just as cute as ever, I can't believe how tall she is. She must be growing like a little weed!

Hi guys,

I emailed you to get your address (have a little something for Aila) but I must have an old email address. When you get a chance, can you send it to me at fla_shannon@yahoo.com?

Thanks ;-)

Sorry I haven't been keeping up as I'm still in the "overwhelmed" stage of new parenthood. Also sorry to have missed the chicago event but hope to meet you next year???

Great to see the photos as T is getting more and more beautiful. It looks like you are having a great Summer and had a great trip to Chi-town.

P.S. I took Miras to BabiesRUs to update our registry and had a similar experience when we saw a fancy push toy in the aisle. He whipped around to hard that I had to search high and low for the same on the shelf and, when I couldn't find it, track down a sales person ("I just HAVE to have this for my son who is learning to walk..."). Alas, they didn't have any more in stock and the floor model wasn't for sale - saving me at least $20!
